Privacy Policy
Effective 15 June 2026
N.D Jewels (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a family jewellery house based in Ahmedabad, India. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
N.D Jewels operates this website to showcase our collections and to let you enquire about pieces, request quotations, and book viewings at our Ahmedabad atelier. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us using the details at the end of this page.
2. Data we collect
We only collect data you choose to give us, plus what your browser stores to make the site work.
Enquiry & contact forms
When you submit an enquiry, quotation request, or viewing booking we collect your name, email address, phone number, and your message. For an appointment we also store your preferred date and time. For a quotation we store a reference to the product you asked about (its id, SKU and name).
Account details
If you create an account we store your full name, email address, phone number, and any delivery details you add (address, city, state, pincode). Your password is never stored in readable form — only a securely hashed version is kept.
In your browser
Your shopping cart and your sign-in token are kept in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers them between pages. These stay on your device and are not analytics or advertising trackers.
3. How we use your data
- Respond to your enquiries and prepare quotations.
- Arrange and confirm atelier viewings and appointments.
- Create and manage your account.
- Follow up on leads and serve you as a patron.
4. Consent & legal basis
We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit a form or create an account, and to take the steps you ask us to take. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us; this does not affect processing already carried out.
5. Sharing & service providers
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the business:
- A spreadsheet service we use to record and track enquiry leads.
- An email service that notifies our office when you make an enquiry.
- Our hosting providers, which store our database and website assets.
These providers act on our behalf and only for the purposes above.
6. Cookies & local storage
We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking pixels on this site. We use only functional browser storage — your cart and sign-in token — and a secure session cookie for staff signing in to the admin area.
7. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as needed to handle your enquiry or maintain your account and our relationship with you, and for any period the law requires. When it is no longer needed we delete it.
8. Security
We protect your data with measures including password hashing, restricted access to administrative tools, and logging of administrative actions. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erase your data where it is no longer needed.
- Withdraw consent you previously gave.
- Raise a grievance about how we handle your data.
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.
10. Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page reflects the latest version. Please review it periodically.
